Welcome Strangers!
Hello friends!
It’s been a while… We’ve got some news for you!

Welcome Strangers LP
Our new LP Welcome Strangers is released by Fire Records on 18th May on gatefold vinyl (with insert and OBI strip) and CD.
It’s taken us a year of hard work to make, and we’re chuffed with the results.
You can read a long piece by author Ben Myers on the writing and recording of Welcome Strangers here and pre-order the LP and CD from the Fire Records website.
Cover painting is by Northern Irish artist Keith Wilson.
There’s a limited edition 180g heavyweight vinyl version of the LP available only from independent record shops – Monorail, Resident and Drift all have pre-orders up now!
And Monorail also have 100 prints of the single artwork to give away with the LP… which brings us to…

Mud and Flame single
Mud and Flame is the first single from the record, built around a tape loop of Emily’s voice falling apart (the loop, that is, Emily’s voice is always spot-on…).
It was premiered by The Quietus here and is on Spotify and Apple Music right now (you can find it, I’m sure), with ace David Chatton Barker artwerk.

SOUNDING video and pictures
Some of you might remember that we did a run of shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe back in August 2017.
The shows – SOUNDING – were partly a testing ground for the new LP songs, which were played for the first time with the Pumpkinseeds Chamber Orchestra who then played on Welcome Strangers.
The handsome and talented filmmaker Mario Cruzado was at all three shows, and made a documentary, which is now available to watch here.
Similarly talented photo-ninja Andy Catlin was at the Edinburgh shows – and the re-staging at Celtic Connections in snowy Glasgow in January – and took two photo galleries: Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Hope you enjoy having a listen and a look at all this.
News on gigs, videos etc very soon…
