SOUNDING

7" | 2017

In August 2017, Modern Studies and Lomond Campbell hosted SOUNDING, a multimedia run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Live sets were accompanied by intricate arrangements played by renowned ten-piece string section The Pumpkinseeds, along with projections and a publication.

To mark the occasion Triassic Tusk released a limited edition, double A side, 7” vinyl single of the two acts covering each other’s music. This single was the first in the 2nd volume of Triassic Tusk Tiny Vinyls.

Side A sees Lomond Campbell’s interpretation of Father Is A Craftsman, taken from Modern Studies Scottish Album of the Year nominated 2016 debut album, Swell To Great.

On side AA Modern Studies respond by reimagining Every Florist In Every Town, taken from Lomond Campbell’s acclaimed 2016 debut album, Black River Promise.
